Natalie Perrault – Residential Life Advisor/Faculty, Spanish Language
Ms. Perrault is coming to AUP after living and teaching abroad in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain. Her passion for Spanish began long ago and brought her to pursue a Double Major in Spanish Language and Linguistics & Psychology at The University of Western Ontario (UWO) in London, Ontario, Canada. During this time she did research in Second Language Acquisition and presented at QODAS (Quebec and Ontario Dialogues on Acquisition and Spanish). After graduating, she started a career in ESL and received certificates in TEFL and Advanced Methodologies of English Teachers.
Her many passions have brought her to work with Indigenous Studies while at UWO and collaborate with educators and mental health professionals to develop best practices for campus safety at the Threat Assessment ReGional Evaluation Team (TARGET) Working Group in conjunction with the FBI. Because of this experience and her enthusiasm for working with all AUP students, she has also joined the team as a Res Life Resident Advisor.
Ms. Perrault enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling to new and interesting places and exploring art and culture in Los Angeles. She encourages all students to never lose their curiosity about the world around them and to always challenge themselves to try new things. She is excited to share her knowledge of Spanish language and culture with the community of AUP and work with students to create a comfortable and safe environment in their new home.
